State Sen. Pam Roach named one of nation's worst bosses
Politics

Everyone’s had a bad boss at one time or another, but few people ever get the satisfaction of seeing their abusive superiors called out in front of the entire world.

Now, a select few employees are getting that opportunity with the publication of the 2010 List of America's Worst Bosses.

The list was published by career resource website eBossWatch.com, which allows employees to anonymously rate their bosses.

Making this year’s list is Auburn’s own State Senator Pam Roach, who is known for being a fiery politician, to put it nicely.

It should be noted that the list is highly subjective and doesn't mean Roach, or anyone else named on the website, is actually a bad boss.

Psychotherapist Linnda Durre was on expert panel that selected the bosses and said Roach has been accused of bullying her employees on five separate occasions.

“Pam Roach was barred from the Republican caucus for yelling and screaming,” Durre said. “She was recommended to take an anger management course and she allegedly treats her employees terribly, as well as yelling and screaming in meetings.”

Not everyone agrees with Roach's inclusion on the list, including one of her own employees.

Cheryl Marshall has been Roach’s legislative assistant for five years and claims her boss is anything but the raging tyrant Durre describes her as.

“I very, very much enjoy working for her,” Marshall said. “I know that she’s always had my best interest at heart.”

Roach is out of the area and wasn’t available for comment.
